Not sure, where to start because I might be quite biased. We are in the middle of an energy crisis, where we are disconnected from nature as much as we are disconnected from ourselves. A simple look around you in nature, is super revealing. You look at resources around you that are available in abundance yet you know that you don’t need as much to live a good life.
And here is where industrial hemp comes in as a solution with a couple of super legitimate reasons.
We are looking at a plant that in some climates can grow on rainwater only, and that definitely saves us much more water than cotton could ever do (cf. 100 liters of water used to make you just one t-shirt).
Also, as this plant has been used by thousands of years (6000 BC by Chinese hemp clay pot) we have enough evidence to show that growing hemp does not deplete the soil (like many of the crops treated with pesticides that are homes to harmful chemicals).
And if this is not enough, let me impress you to share that 1 hectare of hemp farm can produce as much as oxygen as 3-4 hectares of forest.
My final reason shared here, deserves a new paragraph, because hemp is a zero waste plant which means you can use every part of it. Seeds for oil, fibers for clothes, hurds as building materials, roots for tea and 2500+ more uses that gives loads of space to be creative and develop innovations that are truly good for all of us living beings.

Hempily yours,
Beatrix:)
